Floriography

The art of Floriography, also know as the language of flowers, is a Victorian Era precept to communicate feelings through flowers or groupings of flowers. This ideal of pinning fragrant flowers to oneself was not one of pure vanity but to mask the unpleasant odors of the time. Also known as nosegays, literally meaning to make the nose gay or happy.
