I belong to WIN, Women in Networking group sponsored by the SBDC at Jamestown Community College and Key Bank. Members include women owned business in Chautauqua County. Recently, they decided on a branding and web design project to help support the group and promote new membership. The first step was the the branding project. I was honored that I was selected to design the logo. I’ve been a part of the group since their first meeting back in 2005. I’ve met some of my favorite clients from this group.
I presented the group up to five options to choose from. The final result was a combination of a few sketches. The group was drawn to the seal feel of the rounded logo. For me the center image represents a cog… symbolizing businesses working together. I used transparencies of lighter to darker colors of the teal color to represent different stages of business each of us represent. Our members range from long standing business to start ups. The small white dotted line around each section represents a pathway to success.
And stay tuned… I’m part of our new website as well which will be www.winchautauqua.org
